Primary school's sweet gesture
Pupils from St Mary's school, Newchurch-in-Pendle, raised a sweet £165 in aid of Pendleside Hospice.
They raised the money by taking a tube of Smarties home and filling them with 20p and £1 coins with the support of staff and family.
Hospice fund-raiser Jo Applegate thanked the children for their support.
