More than 100 jobs could be lost after a holiday operator announced plans to close its Earby site.

Awaze, previously known as Hoseasons, is based out of Spring Mill and has been a major employer in the town for years.

Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson said: "I spoke with the CEO Henrik Kjellberg in May about a range of issues and the restructure and closure of this site was not mentioned.

"Having worked closely with the business for over 10 years on a range of issues, including raising their concerns with Ministers and in debates in the Commons I am deeply disappointed at their failure to consult local staff on these proposals.

"I am seeking an urgent meeting with the business to discuss their plans, which include opening a new office in Manchester."
