A young couple from Burnley are set to become instant TV hits after being chosen to take part in reality show Coach Trip.
Chloe Ingham and her boyfriend, Ryan Salmon, will be on the small screen five nights next week in the popular tea-time Channel Four show that sees seven pairs of Brits on a coach holiday to a mystery destination. The twist is that at the end of each episode the contestants are asked to vote for whoever they wish to leave and the couple with the most votes have to pack their suitcases and return home.

The last couple standing are declared the winners.
Although sworn to secrecy about the outcome of the show, Chloe did reveal they do make the final, saying: “In the end we were all like one big family because we all got on so well. Everyone hated having to vote for each other.’’
Chloe of Ightenhill and primary school sports coach Ryan, who lives in Lyndhurst Road, were whisked off to London at just an hour’s notice after the show’s producers told them they were one of the youngest couples ever to audition for Coach Trip whose star is the flamboyant travel guide, Brendan Sheerin. They were then flown out to southern Italy where they joined the other holidaymakers visiting several cities and towns and also taking part in a series of challenges and tasks. One of these was catching and cooking eels!
Chloe, who has just launched her own children’s party business called Chuckle Monkeys, said: “It was awful but we did it. And eveyone was teasing us about being from the North so Brendan made us eat the eel on a butty!’’
The couple, who had only been together for seven months before signing up for the show, also had to eat frog’s legs and take part in a mud bath in the sea which involved diving down to the ocean bed, digging up mud and then slathering it all over their skin!
Viewers will also see poor Chloe feeling extremely seasick as the tourists sail to Greece in one of the worst storms for ages. Once on dry land the couple went wine tasting in a vinery frequented by the royal family and they were also guests at a Greek food festival where once again their Lancashire roots were made fun of when they were put on pie making duty!
The programme promises some moments of high drama as a couple of contestants were booted off the show for offensive or inappropriate behaviour.
The pressure of being together 24 hours a day and also filmed for most of that time was a challenge for the couple too. Chloe said: “We certainly learned a lot about each other but it was one of the best experiences of my life.”
The couple are travelling to Birmingham next weekend for a reunion with the other couples from Coach Trip and being in front of the camera has given them a taste for more as Chloe is now considering applying for Couple’s Deal or No Deal hosted by Noel Edmonds.
*Coach Trip is on Channel Four from Monday to Friday March 2nd to 5th at 5-30pm.
