The event, which takes place on Saturday between 10am and 5pm is going to be streamed exclusively through the charity’s Facebook event page https://www.facebook.com/HorsesPoniesProtectionAssociation.

This year, the charity, located at Shores Hey Farm in Briercliffe, is celebrating all things fantasy and fairy-tale with unicorns, fairies and much more.

The charity has also been supported by several local performers who will take up the mic with a selection of fantastic songs throughout the day.

HAPPA’s development manager Julie Pharaoh-Gan said: “With the current restrictions in place we have had to adapt to bring our supporters, friends and followers a traditional open day with a modern day slant.

"We have put together a full schedule ranging from updates with our equine unspectors, a ridden display from the HAPPA horses and ponies, a yard tour and we have been generously joined by some local performers who will sing throughout the day.

"Jasmine Gleave a Lancashire dressage rider is also putting together a great insight into the life of a dressage rider. Later in the afternoon she is putting on a modern day fairy-tale performance all of her own.

"A great deal of effort has gone in to make a fun packed day for all the family to watch in the comfort of their own homes. We cannot wait to share this event with you”.

The whole online event has been put together to raise funds for the charity to ensure they can continue to raise funds to help rescue, rehabilitate and re-home the vulnerable, neglected and unwanted. Supporters can also text HAPPAOPENDAY to 70085 to donate £5 to help.
