Green Door Theatre Group will bounce audiences back to the 1980s with its delicious double bill of plays.
Bouncers and Shakers are the insightful comedies by John Godber and Jane Thornton which burst with the music, magic and madness of clubbing life in the 1980s.
But in these two colourful tales, audiences will also spin through a night on the town seeing life through the eyes of those trapped on the harder side of the party world.
Shakers is the first to slide on stage, bringing with it a confetti explosion of lively characters and dramatic scenes.
The production tells of a group of cocktail waitresses navigating from workplace to bedsit, where desperate young women attempt to blanket their troubles in glitter and glamour.
Bouncers, a romp through the town’s party scene, is sure to have audiences swaying in their seats.
It examines life through the eyes of the hard-done chaps standing guard on the door of every club. It swings from colourful characters and groovy scenes to softer moments of contemplation.
The two shows will be performed from Wednesday, to Saturday at The Muni, Albert Road, Colne. Doors will open at 7pm.
Tickets are priced at £10 each and can be ordered on 01282 661234. Alternatively book online at www.the
muni.co.uk or pay on the door on the night.
Anyone donning 80s costume on the last night who buys a strip of raffle tickets will receive one free.
Please note, these comedies have some adult humour and thus are suitable for ages 14 and older.
