Padiham sure knows how to throw a good party!
The seventh annual Party in the Park was a great success with 800 people flocking to the town’s Memorial Park to join in the fun.
Organised by Padiham Town Council there were dozens of attractions, games, stalls and refreshments. One of the highlights was a climbing wall and the teddy bear’s picnic which attracted 180 children and their favourite cuddly toys. There was a funfair, dog agility and birds of prey displays and entertainment by the Clarets dance troop and Burnley Silver Alliance Band. A tearoom hosted by the Mayor of Padiham Coun. Howard Hudson raised £500 which will be donated back to groups and charities in the town.
