The sound of the blues is returning to Burnley for a one-day concert in April.
The Burnley International Blues Festival will be hosting the event, which will once again take place at the Burnley Mechanics on Saturday, April 23rd.
Performers will include Bernard Allison, son of blues legend Luther Allison, who is returning to the British blues scene from America for the first time in more than 10 years.
Joining Allison will be acclaimed national blues favourites Todd Sharpville – described by Mojo UK as “one of our best blues guitarists to date”. Also taking part will be Paddy Milnor, Aynsley Lister and Chantelle McGregor.
Tickets are priced at £20 and can be booked by calling the box offfice on 01282 664400.
The free Fringe Blues Festival will take place as normal over the Easter weekend at the The Bridge Beir Huis, The Talbot and The Coach and Horses.
Coun. Charlie Bullas, Burnley Council’s Executive member for leisure and culture, said: “I am really pleased that we have been able to find the right line up for this year’s Blue’s Festival.
“The concert will complement the Fringe Festival and ensure that the Burnley Blues Festival continues to keep Burnley on the map and attract Burnley residents and visitors from across the country”.
