Tickets are now being sold for Burnley’s annual bonfire and firework display being held in Towneley Park on Tuesday, November 5th.
The event is being held on Higher Towneley playing fields and admission, including the fun fair, is by ticket only. There will be no ticket sales at the entrance to the bonfire.
This year there will be two firework displays. The first, at 7-30pm, is the junior display, and the second, the grand finale, at 8-30pm.
The event and funfair opens at 6-30pm and there will be local talent playing on the live 2BR stage throughout the night.
The bonfire itself will be lit at 7-15pm.
Coun. John Harbour, Executive member for Leisure, said: “The bonfire and fireworks display will be a great family event and is being carefully organised. Tickets must be bought in advance, because we are unable to sell any tickets on the entrance.”
Visitors are not permitted to bring fireworks, including sparklers, or alcohol.
Free parking will be provided at Burnley Football Club.
The road through Towneley Park will be closed to traffic from 6pm until 9-30pm but extra lighting will be provided for people who are encouraged to walk into the park.
There will be no parking in Towneley Park unless a VIP family ticket, which includes parking on Riverside or Woodgrove car park, has been bought in advance.
Individual tickets cost £2, a family ticket (two adults and two children, or one adult and three children) costs £5, family ticket with parking (Riverside) is £10, and family ticket with parking (Woodgrove) is £8.
Tickets are on sale at the Burnley Mechanics Box Office, Towneley Hall, Contact Burnley, St Peter’s and Padiham Leisure Centre and by phone 01282 664400.
Tickets can be bought online from Burnley Mechanics, but a commission is payable for each ticket that is bought online.
