Artists have their brushes at the ready for the start of a Padiham painting group’s new term.

The Padiham Painters at Leisure group’s autumn term begins on Tuesday.

Classes are held on Tuesday mornings, afternoons and evenings, Thursday evenings and Friday afternoons and evenings.

New students are welcome to the sessions which are held at 64 Station Road in the town.

The full fee is £45 but there are considerable discounts available for pensioners, the unemployed and people in receipt of benefits.

Iris Owen, who is a tutor at Padiham Painters at Leisure, said: “We have ben able to keep the fees down to a realistic level in view of the economic climate.

“We hope this will encourage more people to come and join us.”
