Burnley pupils serve up home-made treats to raise cash for charity

Home-made cakes were served up by pupils at a Burnley primary school when they held a MacMillan coffee morning.

Parents, grandparents and friends went along to St Augustine's RC Primary School and the event raised £328 for the cancer charity.

"We love welcoming everyone into our school," said headteacher Sinead Colbeck. "There was some creative baking and everything was bought or eaten by the end of the day."
