Valley Acrobatic Academy make history
Local gymnasts Lilly-Ella Smith, Olivia Cordeau, Genevieve Metcalf and Jasmin-Poppy Hamilton went to Stoke's Fenton Manor this weekend to compete with their ball routine in the Rhythmic Gymnastics National group league seedings, in the hope of qualifying for a National place.
They managed to wow the panel of British Gymnastics judges to finish sixth overall to win a place in the elite level 5 league, and qualification for the British championships in June. This is a club first for Ribble Valley Acrobatic Academy’s head coach Toni Connolly: “It’s a dream come true, dedication and hard work does pay off.”
