Sophie on course for bronze medal
Sophie Hitchon lies in the bronze medal position after the first round of throwing in the hammer final in Rio.
The Burnley-born athlete had a no-throw with her first attempt, before a seasonal best of 73.29m in the second round to move into third place.
She went out to 71.73m in the third round to earn an extra three throws.
Poland's Anita Wlodarczyk has thrown a world record of 82.29m to lead.
