Burnley’s thrilling victory

BURNLEY seconds had a thrilling victory over Vale of Lune by 25-21.

Tries from JP Walton, Ryan Bradley and a brace from Chris Baxendale, with a Matt Maquis penalty, gave Burnley the edge as they played some scintillating rugby at times.

The Under 17s continue to improve with good games from debutants Conah Sagar, Wesley Hughes Jordon Spencer and Drew Horgan.

Burnley conceded late tries in each half.

Burnley’s pick and drive and lineout were outstanding, but would be better employed deeper in their opponents half.

Strong runs from Kyle Snaith and Tyabo Ntini spurred on the locals, as Craig Hardy got their try, converted by Lee Ferrier, to level the scores before a late try gave the visitors victory.
