‘Whistle Down The Wind’ 50th anniversary event

A SPECIAL event is being hosted in Downham Village Hall next month to mark the 50th anniversary of the release of the iconic film “Whistle Down The Wind”.

On Sunday, August 7th, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. everyone is invited to mark the landmark anniversary of the filming of the screen hit at locations across the Ribble Valley and the debut acting performances of many local children.

Film memorabilia will be on display at the free event and there is an open invitation for all who share a love of the film - or played a part in its production - to meet up at Downham.
