The golden tipple from France has been a favourite at Burnley Miners’ Club, Plumbe Street, for more than a century after local soldiers developed a taste for it during the First World War when they were based in Normandy.

Now a new Bene Bomb version mixed with an energy drink has been created for the younger generation.
