New season at historic Browsholme Hall: open days and farmers’ markets

A NEW season of open days and farmers’ markets is about to get under way at historic Browsholme Hall and its award-winning Tithe Barn development.

Recently awarded the Rural Business of the Year title in the Lancashire Business View Red Rose Awards, the restored Tithe Barn has gone from strength to strength since its completion last year.

Proving popular as prestigious venue for a range of events, it is set to host more than 40 weddings in the coming year, providing local income and employment. It was recently featured on the Channel 5 series “Celebrity Wedding Planner” and is proving popular with brides and their families locally and further afield.

The Tithe Barn also hosts the regular Bowland Farmers’ Market and Craft Fair, the first of the new season taking place on Sunday, April 1st, with a selection of local meats, cheeses, vegetable and plant stalls and local crafts. Alongside jewellery, wooden items, antique stalls and glassware can be found artisan bread from the Bread Fairy and unusual and delicious preserves, sauces and other delights made by Mouse Enterprises.

April 1st is also the day Browsholme Hall re-opens to the public after the winter and owners Robert and Amanda Parker will be conducting tours of the historic family house from 2 to 4-30 p.m.
