Making his debut for Halsall Biker Gear Racing, “The Hare”, at 17, is the youngest-ever competitor in the championship.

Having made steady progress over the first couple of days, Easter Sunday qualifying turned out to be very wet and made track conditions tricky.

Harry rose to the task and was well up the order in free practice 3, but unfortunately crashed out in Q1, which meant that he would start race one from 27th on the grid.

Race day was the complete opposite, with a dry track and sunny conditions, and race one saw Hartley make steady progress from the start, before crossing the line in 18th, despite the race being red flagged due to oil on the track and the race re-run as a 12 lap dash.

He finished his debut race appearance with a steady performance, battling for a few laps with team mate Lee Costello, and crossed the line in 13th to claim his first three championship points from race two.
