Pupils from St Joseph’s Park Hill are through to the new-look SPAR Lancashire Summer School Games county finals after taking victory in high 5s netball.

The team sealed their place in the final after beating 21 schools from Burnley and will now face the other winners from across the county.

To get to the Summer Games, St Joseph’s competed internally at Level 1, before taking part in Level 2 events in district inter-school competitions.

Richard Varey, chair of the Lancashire School Games organising committee and Burnley’s Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic College Head Teacher, said: “A huge well done to St Joseph’s for being placed the best in the district and good luck to all the pupils taking part in the Summer Games.

The SPAR Lancashire Summer School Games will take place at Stanley Park in Blackpool on July 2nd.
