The BEST Centre and Burnley Gymnastics Club have added Hungarian Zoltan Langs part of their coaching team.

Zoltan from Budapest, has been a gymnast since he was five, and was on the Hungarian National squad by the age of 15.

Learning the trade from his father, he has raised young champions too as a coach in his home city.

In 2001 Zoltan turned professional and appeared on stage in what was to be his first of many pantomimes, sharing the spotlight with the likes of John Barrowman, John Nettles and Jennifer Ellison. One of the highlights of Zoltan’s career was in 2004 when he joined Cirque du Soleil for training in Montreal, Canada and shortly after went to perform in Cirque du Soleil’s ‘O’ show in Las Vegas, USA.

Zoltan will be doing a mixture of classes from beginners to advanced, while also passing on some of his experiences as a showman, doing circus skills classes on a range of new equipment.

“Zoli” as he likes to be called is a Level 4 Mens Artistic Coach and will be working hard to get the boys ready for the North West Gymnastics Association Boys’ competitions in the New Year.

Head of Gymnastics Kim Sharples said, “We are very excited to have Zoltan on board who will be a real asset to developing Mens Gymnastics in Burnley.”
