From serving and strokes to tactics and improvements, you can learn the basics of badminton with Burnley Leisure.

A four-week course organised by the Get in 2 team will help all those taking part to learn new skills or brush up on existing ones in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

The sessions will be delivered by a level 2 badminton coach from Badminton England, the governing body for the sport of badminton in England, and will be taking place at St Peter’s leisure centre, Burnley.

On completion of the course all participants will be rewarded for their hard work and dedication with a perfect sports gift - an original Adidas badminton racquet - encouraging them to keep on playing and honing their newly gained skills.

The course runs on Sundays until February 18th.

The two-hour sessions start at 11 a.m.

The course costs £20 and includes all necessary equipment.

Burnley Leisure’s events and funding officer Michelle Grimes said: “The new course is a great way to get into badminton.”
