Burnley girls’ rugby goes from strength to strength with no less than 14 girls representing the red rose county at Under 15 to 18 level in the recent county games held at Edge Hill College against Yorkshire and Druids Park Newcastle against Northumbria.

Burnley girls’ Under 18 Lancashire representatives against Yorkshire were Emma Wall, Cerys Ellis, Polly Bell and Hannah Worthington.
And the Under 15s Burnley girls u15 representatives against Yorkshire were Emily Blyth, captain Anya Richmond, Megan Farhill, Georgia Simm, Elona Bythell, Kia Doyle, Macey Durkin, Alex Baker, Willow Bell and Sophie Gavin.
Tomorrow, Burnley’s senior men’s first team travel to Bury, while the seconds & thirds are at home to Clitheroe and Garstang respectively, all 2-15 p.m. kick-offs.
On Sunday, the juniors are all training, except the Under 15s, who are at Orrell.
For any Under 7/8s wanting to try tag rugby, Burnley have a new training venue each Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Prairie Sports Village, open to all boys and girls.
In the evening the annual Carol concert takes place at 7 p.m. with proceeds going to Pendleside Hospice and Pendle Youth Orchestra.
