George is Northern Area champion

George Connolly emerged triumphant from the World Kickboxing Organisation Northern Area Championships in Haslingden.

The Burnley Black Knights star did in style, reaching the semi-final as put on a show of fast movement and great combinations of kicks and punches to earn a stoppage, with his opponent not wanting to carry on.

In the final, George had his own plan, which he carried out in style once again.

He dominated the ring, not giving his very experienced opponent a chance.

Without a any hesitation, the referee lifted George’s arm as he became the WKO Northern Area Champion.

Trainer Allan Clarkin said: “Well done George for getting back in the ring and doing so well.”

George also recently won gold in sub/strike small boys’ group three at the ICO British Championships in Solihull.

The medal winners from Solihull will travel to Rome to compete in the ICO World Championships in November.”
