Fine achievement for young rugby team

BRIERCLIFFE Primary School entered their first tag rugby tournament, and finished runners-up.

The competition involved eight other schools, and Briercliffe were drawn in group two. They beat Roughlee before drawing with Primet, and the school backed that up with a win over Lord Street. However, last year’s Pendle champions Blacko had the edge in their meeting, leaving Briercliffe in second place - a terrific achievement in their first time out.
