The seconds suffered a 25-17 reverse at Sale in a much-improved display.Burnley’s scorers were Will Holden and Malcom Hall. Gus Ferguson added a penalty and two conversions.

The Under 13s won 36-20 at Colne and Nelson. Harry Smales scored a hat-trick, with a brace from Jack Irving and one from Mason Heys.

Against Blackburn, Burnley dominated with seven tries - two apiece from Max Cudworth, Bran Richmond and Toby Cole, and one from Tom Graveston in a 35–10 win.
