Burnley swimmers are charity superstars

TWO Burnley swimmers were weighed down with medals after taking part in the national Swimathon event.

Held at Padiham Leisure Centre, seven-year-old Zoe Sharpley (left) and eight-year-old Anna Ashworth (right) swam an amazing 128 lengths each,3,000m, in less than 1hr 30mins managing to raise around £150 for Marie Curie.

Both girls attend Worsthorne Primary School and swim at Burnley Aquatics Club. They are now setting their sights on completing the Race For Life at Towneley
