Burnley returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory at Tame Valley in the Northwest Counties Squash league.

Jon Smith started brilliantly, winning the first game, then seemed to run out of steam before rallying in the last game, only to lose 3-1.

Nik Czernianin worked hard to over come a talented Tame Valley player, with flashes of brilliant squash earning a 3-1 win.

Dan Whittaker came up against a player he had never beaten before, and worked tirelessly, playing some of his best squash of the season, taking the match to a deciding game before losing 3-2.

Rod Taggart drew Burnley level, playing measured, steady squash, he was never in any danger, winning his match 3-0.

All rested on the last match of the night , and Graham Riley played a strong game, moving his opponent to all four corners of the court before securing victory for Burnley 3-0.
