Burnley's Stephanie qualifies for England's strongest woman

Burnley's Stephanie Clark came through the north west qualifiers to earn a place at England's strongest woman.

After finishing fourth in the 2017 finals in the open category, above 82 kilos – the lightest competitor at 82.5 – she competed in the under 82 kilo category this year and was tied for first ahead of the atlas stone event, showing the fastest time until the third stone when her grip slipped, costing her three seconds and victory, as she placed third, but qualified for the finals.
