THE annual charity match between the Pendle Kitchens Burnley and District Snooker League and Blackburn with Darwen Snooker League took place on Sunday at the Paradise Club in Burnley,

This match has been going for three years now, and the standard seems to be getting better every year, while a good camaraderie has developed between both teams, with not a bad word said all day by anyone, despite the rivalry.

Burnley ran out winners this time 8-6, but man of the match was Craig Steele from Darwen, who gave a very solid performance against Matt Kaley of Burnley.

A total of £50 was raised for the Paradise Club charity Help For Heroes, and the next match is scheduled for September in Darwen.
