Burnley Bobcats swim squad had three swimmers at the 2012 North West Regional Youth Championships at Manchester Aquatics Centre.
And Kerry Holding and Luke Pickles, both 16, and Marsha Banks, 18 gave good accounts of themselves.
Kerry and Marsha had three races and Luke fiveover the course of the weekend.
Luke made the 50m Butterfly final on the opening day, finishing seventh in a time of 28.03 seconds.
The following day he made the final for the 100m Butterfly, and went one better to finish sixth in 1.03.08 minutes.
In his other races he was 11th in the 50m Breastroke in 35.70 seconds, 18th in the 50m Free in 26.81 seconds and 18th in the 100m Free in 57.81 seconds.
Kerry made the final in the 50m Free, finishing in seventh place in a time of 28.91 seconds.
In the 100m Free she was 14th in a time of 1.03.16 minutes and finished 16th in the 100m Butterfly in 1.09.34 minutes.
Marsha was 10th in the 50m Butterfly in 32.37 seconds, 11th in the 100m Free in 1.05.42 and 13th in the 50m Free in 29.95 seconds.
Head coach Michael Robinson was pleased with the swimmers’ performances and is aiming for yet further improvements.
The swimmers train at the St Peters Centre, Burnley with Bobcats swim squad, under head coach Robinson.
The squad are going from strength to strength and have 20 swimmers taking part in the North West Regional Age Group Championships in June, when the younger swimmers aged 10-14 will compete at regional level.
