Burnley Bobcats closed a very successful season in style.

At the British Swimming Summer Championships and English ASA Nationals, Alice Fox, Miranda Bower, Dakota Ravetali, Hannah Raistrick, Benjamin Haver-Strong and Anna Ashworth were in action at Ponds Forge International Centre, Sheffield.

The club achieved nine top 20 finishes, five top 10 finishes and four finalists from Bower, Ravetali and Havers-Strong.

At the Rotherham Metro Meet, Bobcats were again at Ponds Forge, with 26 swimmers ranging from 9-15 years old. Overall the club came away with a fantastic haul of medals – 25 golds, 11 silvers and 14 bronze.

On top of this great result, with a 93% personal best rate and numerous Lancashire County and North West Regional qualification standard times, William Havers-Strong achieved the Top Boy Award.

The club held an end of season barbeque to raise funds, and Century fund raising bike ride, and would like to thank sponsors, Burnley Leisure, Roaming Roosters and Warburtons, and parents and volunteers.
