Burnley Bobcats are top Lancashire club at Manchester Open meeting

Burnley Bobcats squad finished sixth in the Level 1 Manchester Open 2013 Meet recently, and eighth in the Quality Club Team Rankings, making them the top Lancashire club who entered.

Robert Bryce (12) won gold in a National qualifying time in the 100m backstroke, along with gold medals in the 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle.

Jamie Sharpley (13) won gold in the 50m and 200m backstroke and 50m butterfly; silver in the 100m backstroke and 100m freestyle events, and a bronze medal in the 200m freestyle.

Elliot Norman (12) won the 50m, 100m, and 200m and took silver in the 50m butterfly.

William Murray (15) took gold in the 50m and 100m freestyle, Katie Rennolds (14) won silver in the 50m and 400m freestyle, and bronze in the 50m butterfly and 200m freestyle, and there were also medals for Thomas Hamer (14) who received gold in the 400m freestyle; Saffron Fenton (12) bronze in the 50m breaststroke; Dean Moorhouse (13) bronze in the 50m freestyle; and bronze medals for Erica Minozzi (14) and Grace Pickles (13) in the 400m freestyle event.
