Three Burnley Bobcats swimmers William Beaven, Katie Rennolds and Miranda Bower, represented Lancashire at the ASA National Team County Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield to take Lancashire to their 14th-consecutive win.
Lancashire are the most dominant team in ASA National County Team Championship history, having won the event 19 times in total.
The Red Rose county had 493 points, with border rivals Yorkshire in second place with 447 points, and Somerset followed up in third with 424.
Rennolds (17) swam freestyle in the Womens’ 16/17 Medley Team and in the Mixed 6 x 50m Freestyle Relay Team, swimming the final leg to bring them home gallant winners , three seconds ahead of the Middlesex team.
Beaven (17) swam the final legal of the Mens’ 4 x 50m Freestyle Team to bring them home in first place three seconds ahead of second place Oxford & North Bucks.
Bower (15) swam the 100m breaststroke in the Girls’ 14/15 years and swam 50m breaststroke in the Womens’ 14/15 years Medley Team.
All three dedicated Bobcats swimmers said: “It was an honour and brilliant to be chosen, it was a great team spirit, everyone stepped up and swam really well and it was great fun too.”
Head Coach Noel Horton added: “To have three swimmers chosen to represent the county was excellent for the club and a proud moment as their coach”.
