Young Clarets defender joins Morecambe
Clarets defender Luke Conlan has today joined Sky Bet League Two side Morecambe on a free transfer.
The Northern Ireland U21 international signed at Turf Moor in 2011 and was a key part of the side that reached the 2012 FA Youth Cup semi-final.
Having initially being released by the club, Conlan recovered from injury and subsequently re-signed on a one-year deal.
In July 2015, the 21-year-old joined Scottish Championship side St Mirren on loan, where he made four appearances before returning to the Clarets in January.
He then joined Morecambe on loan and made 16 appearances for the Shrimps as they finished 21st in League Two.
