Soccer Six proved a huge hit last year as 7,000 fans watched 160 celebrities including TOWIE, Plan B and The Wanted, battle it out at Turf Moor.

But organisers say 2012 will be even bigger and better and more star names are expected to be announced over the coming weeks.

Mr Anthony Fairclough, director of commercial affairs at Burnley FC, said he was “excited” at the prospect of Soccer Six returning to the club.

He added: “The Soccer Six tournament is a great day out and I would say to anyone who missed last year to come to this year’s event, as it promises to be bigger and better than before.”

A gala night is also being staged at Turf Moor the night before the tournament.
