West Ham United vs Burnley: The Clarets begin life without Sean Dyche at the London Stadium

Burnley take on West Ham United in their first game since the departure of long-serving manager Sean Dyche.

The Clarets chief’s tenure at Turf Moor came to an end on Good Friday after a nine-and-a-half-year spell at the helm.

Dyche, who had overseen six successive seasons in the top flight, was joined by assistant manager Ian Woan, first team coach Steve Stone and goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer.

Under 23s boss Michael Jackson took over the reins for the trip to the London Stadium and made two changes from the side that was beaten against bottom-of-the-table Norwich City.

Midfielder Jack Cork came in at the expense of Josh Brownhill while Maxwel Cornet was Aaron Lennon’s replacement.

Cornet picks out Rodriguez inside the penalty area but the striker doesn’t catch it right and his effort spins wide of the post.

Lowton is replaced by Roberts for Burnley.

Rice’s glancing header from Cresswell’s set-piece drifts just wide of the upright.

Johnson lifts the ball up for Antonio, who fails to hit the target with a free header.

Cornet collects the ball from distance and goes for goal, but Fabianski has the attempt covered as it goes wide of the post.

Awful mistake from McNeil gifts possession to the Hammers, who counter, and Soucek can’t quite turn Lanzini’s cross on target at the far post.

Wout Weghorst with the goal for Burnley, though Maxwel Cornet misses from the spot.

Cornet drags his penalty wide of the post.

Fabianski booked after bringing down Cornet inside the box.

Bowen gets away from Taylor and picks out Antonio inside the box, but Collins makes an excellent block as the striker goes for goal on the turn.
