Vince Overson leaves Burnley

Burnley Football Club can confirm that Centre of Excellence Manager Vince Overson has formally left Turf Moor.

The former Clarets defender, who made over 250 appearances for the club, went on to enjoy many years working behind the scenes at Turf Moor, initially in the Community Scheme.

He joined the staff on a permanent basis in 2004 as Head of Youth Development and latterly undertook the role of Centre of Excellence Manager.

Vince was largely responsible for driving and re-energising the club’s youth system at Turf Moor, where he made a valuable contribution to the development of countless young players, from induction to the Centre of Excellence and through the coaching process, to apprenticeships, in many cases professional contracts.

Burnley Football Club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Vince for all his hard work, dedication and commitment to the club and wish him well for the future.
