Troy Deeney to Burnley price shortens as Clarets handed boost in pursuit of Derby County's Leeds United target

Clubs have just weeks left to conclude deals during the winter window.

It has been quiet on the transfer front for Burnley so far this transfer window.

However, that hasn’t stopped the Clarets being linked with numerous deals in and out of Turf Moor.

The Clarets are now under new ownership.

American investment firm ALK Capital completed a takeover at Turf Moor on New Year's Eve and are reportedly looking to strengthen this month.

Indeed, new chairman Alan Pace has promised to support Sean Dyche in the transfer market.

The bookies are once again linking Burnley with a move for Watford captain Troy Deeney, who is one strike shy of 200 career goals in all competitions.

There also exists clear respect between Dyche and Deeney with the pair having worked together at Watford during his time as assistant manager and manager

Burnley were been installed as 20/1 contenders with SkyBet, with Sam Allardyce's West Brom the front-runners at 3/1. However, the Clarets’ price has fallen to 12/1 overnight.

The link between Deeney and Dyche is an easy one to make given the Clarets boss was linked with a move for the player back in 2014.

But what about transfers during this window? Well, Burney and their Premier League rivals have been linked with some interesting incomings and outgoings this morning.
