Terry Pashley insists focus is only on Fulham!

But he knows his players can’t afford to be sidetracked as they face Fulham at Craven Cottage tomorrow night in the last eight.

Burnley are in the quarter-finals for the first time since 1978 after beating Boston United, Ipswich Town and West Brom, and will face their deadly rivals if they can see off the Cottagers, but Pashley said: “You’ve got to be aware of it.

“I think everybody’s aware of Blackburn and people start saying ‘what if’.

“But ‘what if’s’ nothing if we don’t go and do the job at Fulham.

“That’s the only way we can approach it.

“We can’t start looking too far ahead because it might not be, but we’ll give everything we’ve got to try to make it happen.”

He is proud of the side’s achievements to date, but feels the players can achieve more: “You look at it now and there are only five teams left.

“To be one of those is a great achievement for the boys, they’ve done really well.

“Hopefully we’ll still be one of those teams when there’s only four left.

“That’s our aim, that’s what we’re going down there to do.

“We’re going to approach it in exactly the manner that we have in every other round, when we played Boston in the third round, then Ipswich, then West Brom.

“We’re going to go and play and have a go.”
