Norwegian international midfielder Fredrik Ulvestad, on the bench for the first team for their last two games, again featured in a strong line-up which included keeper Matt Gilks, Steven Reid, Michael Keane, Stephen ward, Michael Kightly, Matt Taylor and Ross Wallace.

Taylor was also on the bench for the first team at home to Arsenal on Saturday after seven months out with an Achilles problem, while Ward also added to his fitness levels, having only made one late substitute appearance since suffering a fractured foot at the start of December.
