Shackell predicting Clarets resurgence

Skipper Jason Shackell believes the Clarets will paint a different picture of the Premier League table after claiming their first win of the campaign.

Ashley Barnes scored the winner in the 50th minute against Hull City at Turf Moor to make it eight wins from nine outings against the Tigers.

After the international break, the Clarets face fixtures against Stoke City, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and QPR and Shackell is confident the Clarets can build on their first maximum.

“It’s huge to get this win and get this monkey off our backs,” he said. “Hopefully people won’t be talking about it now. We’ve got a nice little break now to regroup, get together and we’ll be ready to go again.

“If we can put two or three wins together then it will be a different picture. Like I said, we’re positive, we’ll take one game at a time. This win has come at a good time. We can regroup and look forward to the Stoke game.”
