The striker scored three goals through the month, including the winner at Leeds and a brace against Charlton.

He picked up 70% of the vote, overwhelming his strike partner Danny Ings who received 18%.

Captain Jason Shackell, Kieran Trippier and Scott Arfield all received nominal nominations.

Voting will open for October’s award following the QPR game, with details in the Burnley Express and on No Nay Never.
