The Under 15s got their league title defence off to a flying start with a hard fought 3-1 victory at Manchester City side.

Burnley withstood relentless second half pressure from the hosts before Sam Lyons scored her second of the game to secure all three points.

The Under 12s earned another home victory, as Tigana Gent scored a hat trick for the second successive week in a 6-1 win over Crosby Stuart.

The Under 14s earned their first win of the season courtesy of two late goals at Crosby Stuart.

The Under 13s continued their impressive start to the season, putting in a disciplined performance at a physical Dynamo Rangers side to win 3-0.

The two Under 9 squads faced each other at the Prairie on Saturday, and the Blues beat the Clarets, with Blues keeper Poppy O’Brien named player of the match.

However, it was a disappointing weekend for the Under 10s, 11s and 16s.
