Road closures for Burnley FC last match of season

A LARGE police presence will be on patrol at Turf Moor for Aaturday’s final match of the season against Cardiff City.

More than 4,000 Cardiff fans are expected at the game, which kicks off at 12-45 p.m., and police have enforced a number of road closures to ensure things run smoothly.

Harry Potts Way and Belvedere Road will both be closed from half-time onwards, with visiting supporters’ coaches parked on both sides of the road.

Any home fans leaving via the main exit of the North East car park should do so via Higgin Street and Helena Street, which runs parallel to Harry Potts Way. Those leaving via Ormerod Yard and heading for the town centre should do so via Ridge Road and Albert Street.

Burnley supporters are also advised that, for safety reasons, there will be a delay in opening the car parks following the game.

Vehicles will be held back for approximately one hour, while spectators and coaches leave the immediate area.

A Burnley Football Club spokesman said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this causes to supporters.
