Remarkable cup hat-trick for young Clarets

Burnley FC Girls and Ladies have achieved a remarkable hat-trick with three teams reaching the League Cup Final for their respective age groups.

The Under 11s, 12s and 13s have all made it through to the cup finals for the West Lancashire League, to be held at Burscough FC’s ground over the coming weeks.

In addition, the Under 10s, despite being the stronger team, unfortunately lost their semi-final to Bury.

The Under 11s progressed through the early rounds, before beating Wigan Athletic Girls in the semi-final, and will play Manchester City Ladies in the final on March 14th.

In their semi-final tie, the Under 12s beat Crosby Stuart Ladies 2-1, and the Under 13s defeated Academy Juniors 1-0.

Both teams will face Blackpool in their finals on March 21st and on Sunday respectively.
