BURNLEY are beaten at the Madejski Stadium after a Shane Long brace.
Ross Wallace had put the Clarets ahead in the first half, when he connected with Tyrone Mears’ cross, but the lead was quickly snuffed out when Long outpaced the Burnley defence and slotted confidently past Lee Grant.
Long then sealed the points for the hosts when his head met Jobi McAnuffs cross, leaving Grant with little chance.
Dean Marney had Burnley’s best chance for an equaliser, but he hit his effort just wide.
