Michael Chopra put the hosts ahead on the stroke of half-time when Bothroyd found Chopra who smashed home past Grant.

Burnley started the second half strongly, Eagles, Wallace and Cork all having chances, but with the clock winding down Eddie Howe replaced Jay Rodriguez with Steven Thompson.

And just nine minutes later this moved payed dividends when Wallace’s near-post cross was met by Thompson to send the Claret’s home with a well earnt point and still in touch with the play-off places.
