Norwich City v Burnley FC

Burnley fans are back on the road for another hefty journey to Norwich, although the players hope to get a helping hand by flying down.

Laws said: “It’s another long trip, but it’s part and parcel of life as a football team. and you know you have to do it.

“It’s all about making sure we prepare ourselves.

“We’re going to fly down so that will cut down the travelling side looking ahead, in preparation, to an important home game against Doncaster on Tuesday.

“In a season we travel thousands and thousands of miles, likewise the fans, and we appreciate every mile they take to support their team.

“They might not have the luxury of flying down there – it could take seven hours in a car – so we’ve got to put in a performance that matches their effort and give them something to go home with.”

Burnley again look for their first away win of the season, and Laws expects an entirely different game to last week’s trip to QPR: “Norwich were very unfortunate to go out of the Championship anyway.

“The club is bigger than where they were and better than where they were. Their home performances have been very good, they’re a good footballing side, historically.

“That’s their brand, very similar to Nottingham Forest.

“Nothing is accepted by supporters other than good football being played.

“I think there are some good teams in the Championship who want to play attractive football and it works.

“Although who’s to say direct doesn’t work?

“Some might say who cares as long as you win the game.

“I think it does matter when you do win how you play.

“Satisfaction is one thing, but winning games is the most important thing.”
