Padiham saw their home clash with Evo-Stik First Division North leaders Darlington 1883 postponed on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch at the Yesss Electrical Arena.

The Storks remain bottom of the table with nine points from 26 games, while Darlington were leapfrogged at the top by Salford City, who won 2-1 at play-off chasing Bamber Bridge in front of a crowd of 341, after early goals from former Accrington Stanley striker Danny Webber and Sam Madeley in former Ramsbottom United joint bosses Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s first game at the helm.

Steve Wilkes’ side have no midweek game but are scheduled to return to action in the league with another potentially tricky test, when they make the trip to third-place Nortwich Victoria on Saturday.

Northwich lie level on points with Darlington, and three adrift of Salford at the top, despite Saturday’s 2-1 reverse at Spennymoor Town, courtesy of a last-minute winner from the home side’s Michael Roberts.
