Padiham boss Steve Wilkes has signed striker Brett Ormerod.
The 37-year-old was playing in the Premier League for Blackpool four years ago - scoring his only goal of that campaign in a 3-1 win over Spurs at Bloomfield Road.
The prolific forward also played in England’s top tier with Southampton where he made 93 appearances in all competitions, scoring 17 times. He also appeared in the 2003 FA Cup final at the Millennium Stadium as the Saints lost out to a Robert Pires strike against Arsenal.
Ormerod was a free agent after parting with Wrexham in April and will team up with the Storks for their Evo-Stik First Division North campaign.
