Noble takes on Sunderland in U21 Cup at Turf Moor
The 22-year-old has been restricted to two substitute appearances for the first team, but was on target in the last round of the U21 Cup at Crewe Alexandra, and also netted twice as Burnley beat Morecambe 4-1 in the first round of the Lancashire Senior Cup last month.
And Dyche said: “He’s going along nicely. I don’t think he’s ready to be thrown in at the moment but he’s showing good signs, similar to what we expected.
“We’re looking for more, we want more, but we put that demand on all of our players, let alone the younger players.”
Noble signed a 12-month deal in the summer, and Dyche added: “He’s a work in progress, like we are ourselves, but certainly the younger players are constantly working to improve. It’s a constant assessment here and that’s one thing the players have bought into. We don’t over-egg it with them, they’re not constantly examined in the sense that they feel any pressure to that, but we’ve made it clear that we monitor training wisely.
“Some managers train to keep players ready for a game, but we monitor them in terms of how they’re feeling, how they’re looking, what their performance levels are like, are they sharp, are they not, what needs more work?”
